This new Tape Design by Fitec is ideal for cast nettting shrimp and other baits in deeper water due to the tape at the bottom which is designed to keep the net open much longer as the net is sinking in deeper water depths. A cast net naturally wants to close as it sinks but this new feature allows the net to remain open much longer as the net is sinking which translates into a larger spread when the net hits the bottom which allows a much higher catch rate for shrimp etc.

GS-1500 Shrimping Tape Series This new Tape Design by Fitec is ideal for cast netting shrimp and other baits in deeper water due to the tape at the bottom which is designed to keep the net open much longer as the net is sinking in deeper water depths. A cast net naturally wants to close as it sinks but this new feature allows the net to remain open much longer as the net is sinking which translates into a larger spread when the net hits the bottom, creating a much higher catch rate for shrimp etc. This GS-1500 series has more weight of 1 1/2 lbs per ft compared than the GS1000 series which is lighter at 1 lbs per ft. This allows for deeper water applications and much faster sink rates. This series can also be used for bait applications other than shrimp such as shad, herring and menhaden.
